Lisa graduated from California Lutheran University with a Master’s of Science (M.S.) degree in Counseling Psychology. She holds a marriage and family therapy license, issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences and currently provides marriage and family therapy in Westlake Village. While completing her studies, Lisa provided individual, couple and family counseling to low-income families in the Conejo Valley area at the Community Counseling Center located in Thousand Oaks. She also participated in an externship for Conejo Valley Unified School District’s SELPA program, providing school-based counseling for middle-school at-risk youth in the Oxnard area. After graduation Lisa gained clinical experience working with the CVUSD and as a counselor, group leader and case manager at Vista Del Mar Psychiatric Hospital in Ventura.
Beginning her private practice in the Santa Clarita area, Lisa recently moved her practice to Westlake Village, founding Westlake Village Therapy Group, a professional group of highly trained and skilled licensed therapists.
Whether working with individuals, couples or families, Lisa’s approach is one of compassion. She works to provide a place of non-judgment, a place where you can safety explore the challenges in your life. Lisa works with a variety of modalities including, cognitive behavior therapy, systems and attachment theory and a psychodynamic approach. Together you will unearth those thoughts and feelings and identify those habits and patterns that have turned life’s challenges into life’s struggles.
